Official PlayStation application for iPhone and Android handsets has been announced by Sony in a recent post published on PlayStation Europe blog. It has been confirmed that initial version of the app will be compatible with iPhone, iPod touch running iOS 4 or above and all Android phones running 1.6 or a later version. The app will be downloadable for FREE in UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands.
According to the blog, with PlayStation app you’ll be able to::
– Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
– Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
– Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.
– Share your favorite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.
The next version of the app will add support for more SCEE countries and languages as well as allow you to comment on the official PlayStation blog posts.
