Its always been a pain for me to browse applications on iTunes. You obviously couldn’t have multiple tabs, you had to view an app and then go back to the category every single time. Then Apple made our life easier by letting us browse Apps in our browsers.
Virtue just added icing to the cake, by letting us browse iPhone Apps…in Facebook. The cherry on top for me, is that there’s a Facebook share button underneath each App. Diving in a little deeper, Virtue worked with the iTunes team, to create an App for the App store (pun intended) for the millions of Facebook users. It has three basic tabs, Featured, Games and Search & Share.
The Featured tab displays the App of the Week coupled with the top ranking apps according to different standard App Store categories. There’s a separate tab for Games altogether, again displaying the top games in the App Store according to different categories. The Search & Share feature lets you look for your favourite apps and share them with your friends.
All the app icons have a ‘Get App’ button that takes you to the iTunes download link for the app. Like I mentioned before, my favourite feature is the Facebook share button underneath all the apps. Virtue says they have more “tricks” up their “social sleeves” and will have more advanced features up on the App Store page.
