Ever logged in to Facebook only to forget the username you created years ago? You’re not alone! Usernames often become afterthoughts, buried beneath nicknames and profile pictures. But fear not, finding your username is a breeze with these two simple methods.
Why would I wanna know my username?
Benefits of knowing your username:
- Smoother Logins: No more scrambling to remember a forgotten username. Logging in becomes a breeze, especially when using Facebook on multiple devices.
- Easier Sharing: Sharing your profile with friends or colleagues becomes effortless. Simply provide your username instead of your entire profile URL, making it quicker and more convenient for them to find you.
- Enhanced Search Visibility: Having a username can improve your search visibility within Facebook. When people search for you by name, your profile is more likely to appear if you have a username that reflects your real name or business name.
Here are the two easiest ways to find your Facebook username:
On a web browser:
- Go to your Facebook profile. You can do this by clicking on your profile picture in the top right corner of the Facebook homepage.
- Look at the address bar in your web browser. Your username will be the text displayed after “facebook.com/”.
On the Facebook mobile app:
- Open the Facebook app and tap on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner.
- Scroll down and tap on “Settings & Privacy”.
- Tap on “Settings”.
- Tap on “Account Center” (if you see this option). If you don’t see this, tap on “Username” in the center panel.
- Select the profile you want to see the username for (if you have multiple profiles).
- Your username will be displayed under “Username”.
