M3 chip
The M3 chip, tailored for iMac and MacBooks, is engineered on a 3nm architecture and optimized for power efficiency. Leveraging an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, it promises unparalleled performance, making it up to 2x faster than its M1 predecessor. Notably, it introduces hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing, amplifying the rendering quality and speeding up design and gaming experiences.
Display and connectivity
The new iMac with M3 boasts a 24-inch display with a 4.5K resolution, offering 11.3 million pixels, P3 wide color gamut, over a billion colors, and 500 nits of brightness. This configuration caters to an immersive content creation and consumption experience.
Moreover, the iMac presents an array of improved connectivity features, including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C and Thunderbolt ports, Gigabit Ethernet support on select models, and compatibility with up to 6K displays.
macOS Sonoma
The 24-inch iMac with M3, powered by macOS Sonoma, is the optimal all-in-one computer. macOS Sonoma notably offers widgets, updated Safari, and exclusive screen savers. It maximizes the user’s capabilities, offering engaging video conferencing tools and enhancing gaming experiences with Game Mode.
