Season 2 of hotel comedy ‘Acapulco’ coming to Apple TV+ soon

Acapulco takes place in 1984 with Eugenio Derbez narrating and playing the present-day version of the twenty-something main character, Maximo Gallardo. The joint Spanish-English series tells the story of Maximo who gets a job as a cabana boy at the hottest resort in Acapulco but he soon realizes “the job is far more complicated than he ever imagined as all of his beliefs and morals start to be questioned. ”

“Season two picks up right on the heels of season one,” says Apple in a press release. “In 1985, Maximo must contend with upheaval at the resort, unexpected problems at home, and a new love interest who just might rival the girl of his dreams.”

“In the present day,” continues Apple, “older Maximo… arrives in Acapulco, where he encounters various people from his past – for better and worse.”

As of now, no streaming date for the second season has been announced, but viewers can check out the first season’s ten episodes of Acapulco on Apple TV+ now.
