This is a small guide on how to enter your PlayStation 3’s Recovery Mode. The Recovery menu gives access to a bunch of handy options which can help you fix many common PS3 errors such as corrupted firmware data, corrupted system files or even force your PS3 to restore to a custom firmware. The menu has the following options: 1. Restart System, 2. Restore Default Settings, 3. Restore File System, 4. Rebuild Database, 5. Restore PS3 System and 6. System Update.
Here is what you need to do in order to out you PS3 into Recovery Mode:
Step 1:
Turn off your Playstation 3.
Step 2:
Hold the power button down. The system will turn on and turn off once again.
Step 3:
Once the system has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
Step 4:
When you hear the 2 beeps take your finger off power button.
Step 5:
You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
Step 6:
The Recovery Menu will pop up.

I have a jailbreak ps3 slim, cfw 4.81 rebug. If I rebuild database or restore ps3 system (options 4 and 5), does it delete the jailbreak ability ? I mean does it turn my ps3 from CFW to OFW ?
