The next-generation iPad mini is here with many new features like the new edge-to-edge display, advanced A15 Bionic chip, and most important of all, with 5G network support.

Here are all the features of the new iPad mini 6.
Design and colors
In an all-new edge-to-edge design language, Apple has moved the Touch ID sensor on top of the tablet, so users can easily open their devices or make online payments in a secure way. The latest mini model comes in four new color options: Pink, Starlight, Purple, and Space Gray.
Display
By reducing the bezels, Apple has introduced a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness, a P3 wide color gamut, anti-reflective screen coating, True Tone, and full lamination to deliver an improved resolution for images and video which will be vibrant which come to the surface of the glass.
Performance
The new iPad mini 6 is powered by an advanced A15 Bionic chip which delivers up to eighty percent faster performance than its predecessor. With an all-day battery, the compact tablet comes with a 6-core CPU which delivers a forty percent improvement in performance, and the 5-core GPU delivers an eight percent improvement in graphics performance, so users play graphically rich games and “use pro apps used by designers, pilots, doctors, and more.”
The new model pushes advanced machine learning (ML) capabilities further. Powered by a 16-core Neural Engine and new ML accelerators in the CPU, the tablet delivers two times faster ML tasks than its predecessor. It supports the new Live Text ML feature of iPadOS 15 and much more.
Connectivity
For the first time, the iPad mini model supports 5G networking for advanced cellular connectivity with up to 3.5Gbps speed. In addition, it continues to support Gigabit LTE and eSIM, and Wi-Fi 6. The tablet now comes with a new USB-C port for up to 5Gbps data transfer, making it 10 times faster than its previous model.
Camera
Apple has updated the front and rear camera systems: The 12MP front camera is upgraded with an ultra-wide lens and Center Stage experience. The rear camera features a 12MP sensor with Focus Pixels, a larger aperture, and a TrueTone flash for sharper, more vivid, and detailed images and videos.
Accessories
iPad mini supports Apple Pencil (2nd generation) which magnetically attaches to the tablet for pairing and wireless charging.
Cost and availability
Consumers can order their new iPad mini online at apple.com today, September 14 and it will be delivered by next week. The tablet will arrive in stores Friday, September 24.
