Apple has announced the date for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, also known as WWDC25. The event will take place on June 9, with the keynote announcing the upcoming features for iOS 19, iPadOS 19, macOS 16, and more. We will likely hear more about the future of Apple Intelligence during this event as well.
WWDC25 will be held online from June 9 – 13, but developers will have the opportunity to attend a special event in person on June 9 at Apple Park.

Apple’s invite (image above) hints at what changes we can expect in the new software updates. The new iOS 19 update is expected to feature a visionOS inspired look with the use of glass and translucency throughout. Some leakers have gone ahead to say that this may be the biggest design overhaul for iOS since iOS 17. iPadOS, macOS and other operating systems are also expected to get the same design treatment.
Apart from the much awaited keynote and operating system announcements, developers and students will be able to gain access to Apple experts and learn about the new tools, frameworks and features that will be announced during the event.
The special in-person event will allow developers the opportunity to watch the June 9 keynote and platforms state of the union at Apple Park, and meet Apple experts for one-on-one sessions and group labs. There will be limited slots available. Developer can apply on the WWDC25 website to attend.
As part of the announcement, Apple also mentioned the Swift Student Challenge:
Apple is proud to support the next generation of developers through the Swift Student Challenge, one of many Apple programs that seek to uplift the next generation of entrepreneurs, coders, and designers. On March 27, this year’s applicants will be notified of their status, and winners will be eligible to apply for the special event at Apple Park. In addition, 50 Distinguished Winners, who are recognized for outstanding submissions, will be invited to Cupertino, California, for a three-day experience.
Stay tuned as we bring you the latest updates in the build up to WWDC25.
