Apple has launched its annual Back to School promotion for 2022 in the United States and Canada. Unlike 2020 and last year’s promotion, this year’s offer gets customers a $150 gift card with qualifying Macs, and a $100 gift card with qualifying iPads.
Note that the tech giant rolls out a similar Back to School offer in other regions like the United Kingdom a few weeks after it rolls out the US campaign.
Apple launches Back to School promotion for 2022
Apple has begun its annual Back to School promotion. The tech giant is offering discounts on accessories for Macs and iPads as well as 20% off on AppleCare+ for both. This year’s promotion gets students gift cards with eligible Mac and iPad purchases.
Here is the full list of eligible devices included in this year’s Back to School promotion:
- MacBook Air (M1 or M2)
- Mac Book Pro (13, 14, and 16-inch variants)
- 24-inch M1 iMac
- iPad Air (fifth-generation)
- 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro
Unlike last year’s promotion, this year’s offer does not apply to the Mac mini or the Mac Pro. The Mac Studio is not also a qualifying device. In addition, the iPad mini and the standard iPad are also ineligible devices for this year’s promotion.
One of the biggest differences between this year’s and last year’s offer has to do with AirPods. In 2021, eligible customers can get a free pair of AirPods with the purchase of a selection of Mac and iPad models. Customers could also upgrade their AirPods to include wireless charging for just $40 or upgrade to the AirPods Pro by paying an extra $90.
While there are no offers related to AirPods in the United States, in some countries including India, Thailand, and Singapore, Apple is offering free AirPods 2 with eligible purchases as well as discounts on AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro.
The promotion begins on June 24, 2022, and ends on September 26, 2022, so students should not miss out on this opportunity to upgrade their devices for the new school year and get a gift card for free.
