In March, the Cupertino tech giant launched the Apple Business Essentials for small businesses in the United States. And a few weeks after, the company announced Apple Business Essentials integration with Google Workspace. Now, Apple has released details of the integration process with Google Workspace in a new support document.
Apple Business Essentials is a new service that provides device management, 24/7 Apple support, and iCloud storage into flexible subscription plans for small businesses, along with a new AppleCare+ warranty plan.
Apple Business Essentials integration with Google Workspace to make cloud identity management simpler
To make cloud identity management easier for organizations without an IT team, Apple has released Google Workspace integration with the Apple Business Essentials service.
Now, with integration with Google Workspace identity services, businesses can manage Apple IDs created by federating Microsoft Azure Active Directory by logging into devices with a single business username and password.
Apple ensures users that the management service works with company-provided and personally owned devices, and Apple’s User Enrollment feature keeps employees’ personal information private and cryptographically separated from their work data.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Enterprise and Education Marketing said:
“Apple has a deep and decades-long commitment to helping small businesses thrive. From dedicated business teams in our stores to the App Store Small Business Program, our goal is to help each company grow, compete, and succeed.
We look forward to bringing Apple Business Essentials to even more small businesses to simplify device management, storage, support, and repairs. Using this new service leads to invaluable time savings for customers — including those without dedicated IT staff — that they can invest back into their business.”
The flexible Apple Business Essential plans are available starting at $2.99 per month with a two-month free trial. Plans including AppleCare+ start at $9.99 per month. Click here to review the federating process.
