As Apple’s Fall 2021 event inches closer, numerous industry reports and rumors are currently circulating regarding what consumers can expect. According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, via his latest Power On newsletter, the Cupertino tech giant will unveil its new flagship iPhone lineup alongside Apple Watch Series 7, AirPods 3, as well as some redesigned iPad models.
What to expect from Apple’s upcoming Fall 2021 event
As per Gurman’s Power On newsletter, here is a list of all hardware and services we can expect from Apple’s upcoming Fall 2021 event.
iPhone 13
According to Gurman, iPhone 13 will be a “classic Apple S model”, since it will feature better camera capabilities and faster speed but it will retain last year’s design. The lineup will feature the same 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch sizes for the regular models, and the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch variations for the Pro models.
As for what’s gonna change, Gurman expects a smaller notch at the top of the display, new camera features, a faster A15 chip with the same core counts as the A14 chip, and new screen technology that will enable ProMotion and possibly an always-on screen mode.
Apple Watch Series 7 and Fitness+
As for Apple Watch Series 7, Gurman believes it will feature a “bit of a redesign” with flatter displays and updated screen technology alongside a faster processor. In addition to this, he says the tech giant is readying variations of the Time to Walk feature for Apple Fitness+ subscribers: the self-explanatory Time to Run and Audio Meditations.
AirPods 3
On the long-rumored AirPods 3, Gurman says that the new entry-level AirPods will feature “a design closer to the AirPods Pro, including a new in-ear shape and shorter stems.” This will be “the most significant update to that part of Apple’s AirPods line since the first model debuted in 2016.”
iPad mini 6 and iPad 9
Gurman says the iPad mini 6 is “destined to be an Apple fan favorite with its thinner borders and complete redesign.” In addition to this, he says there is also a ” slimmer and faster ninth-generation iPad coming for students.”
When will Apple launch its M1X MacBook Pro?
Unfortunately for customers, production for the redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M1X chips has experienced some delays. However, the laptop ” should still go on sale by the time the current MacBook Pro hits its two-year anniversary.”
