Ahead of the International Dance Day to be celebrated on April 29, Apple Fitness+ has announced a new Dance collection of workouts, a special Artist Spotlight with hit songs and moves from BTS videos and others, and a limited edition award.
Everything new on Apple Fitness+ in celebration of International Dance Day
Here are all the new features coming to Apple Fitness+, starting from this week through April 29.
New Artist Spotlight featuring Queen, ABBA, and BTS
Starting this week, the new Artist Spotlight sessions will include music from Queen, ABBA, and BTS and by next week, new Dance content will be available on the Fitness+ service including a special Artist Spotlight Dance workout inspired by music and choreography of popular K-pop band ‘BTS’, a new new “Get into a Groove with Dance” workout Collection and a limited-edition award for International Dance Day.
Furthermore, every Monday for 4 weeks, new workouts featuring Queen, ABBA, and BTS will be available on Fitness+ across Dance, Treadmill, Yoga, and other workout types.
Celebration of Dance with new Dance workouts
Starting April 25, Apple Fitness+ trainers have created exclusive Artist Spotlight Dance workouts for the whole week to celebrate dance from the following trainers.
- Ben Allen will Artist Spotlight Dance workout inspired by BTS on their hit songs like “Butter”, “Dynamite”, “Boy With Luv”, “DNA”, “MIC Drop”, “Permission to Dance” and “Life Goes On.”
- LaShawn Jones’s groovy Dance workouts
- Jhon Gonzalez’s workouts include tracks from cumbia, tango, Indian pop, and other genres.
New workout Collection
A new workout Collection will be available on Apple Fitness+ on April 25 for subscribers to enjoy dance workouts anytime they want on any day of the year.
- “Get on the Dance Floor”
- Three 20-minutes “Get on the Dance Floor” workout routines by each Fitness+ Dance trainer.
- “Take Center Stage”
- 30-minutes workouts
A limited-edition award for Apple Watch users
On April 29, the International Dance Day, Apple Watch users can earn a special limited-edition award and animated stickers for Messages for completing any 20 minutes or longer Dance workout.
The new Dance workouts will appear in a special section on Fitness+ for users to easily search and complete a workout to earn the limited-edition award.
Apple Fitness+ is a home workout service powered by Apple Watch. For $9.99 (US) per month or $79.99 (US) per year, subscribers are offered a wide and growing library of workouts across different workout types to look after their physical and mental well-being for all ages. The announcement highlights that in addition to new Dance content, subscribers can already ways subscribers can enjoy dance-based workouts on the service.
