The new Apple Fitness+ pilates workouts and guided Meditation sessions announced at the September 14, 2021 event are now available. Apple Fitness+ subscribers now have more types of workouts to choose from, which suit their physical needs, body types, and other preferences.
Apple launched the all-new at-home workout service in 2020 which is designed around Apple Watch. Using the power of the Apple Watch health sensors to measure activity metrics, Fitness+ gives users the freedom to take their personal gym anywhere to start a workout at any time. Available across Apple devices, subscribers can choose workout sessions from 5 to 45 mins duration and keep track of their Apple Watch metrics on any size screen they like.
Apple Fitness+ subscribers can now find focus with the new guided Meditation sessions and work on their core with Pilates workouts
Nine episodes of audio and video-guided Meditation are now available on the fitness service to help users practice “mindfulness and improve overall wellbeing”.
Each session focuses on a specific theme, such as calm, gratitude, or kindness, with Fitness+ trainers as your guides. View sessions on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. And you can even listen to sessions from your Apple Watch anytime, anywhere.
Pilates, new low-impact workouts are now available to improve strength and flexibility. All users need is a mat or a resistance band to complete 10, 20, or 30 minutes long sessions.
Pilates will be led by two new Fitness+ trainers, Marimba Gold-Watts and Darryl Whiting. Marimba is an award-winning Pilates trainer who started her career as a professional dancer, and Darryl is a former professional athlete who brings an athletic approach to his Pilates workouts. Both trainers bring a broad range of styles to Pilates for Fitness+ users, making Pilates approachable to everyone who tries it.
