Apple Fitness+ has announced that multi-Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift will feature as its next Artist Spotlight musician. The new partnership is a sign of a deepening relationship between Apple and Swift after a rocky start.
[Update: Apple confirmed that Taylor Swift as Artist Spotlight will debut on October 24, along with other Fitness announcements.]
Previously, Swift wrote a blog about Apple Music’s unfair payment plans for artists during the first 3 months trial period. In response, the tech giant Apple quickly changed its policy and released Taylor’s albums, including her smash hit 1989 on the music streaming service.
In 2020, Swift won Apple Music Award for songwriter of the year for her chart-topping album “folklore” and was featured in multiple Apple Music ads “Mic drop” and “dance like no one is watching“.
Ahead of her new album’s launch, Apple Fitness+ announces partnership with Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s new album “Midnight” is going to release on October 21, 2022, and ahead of its launch, Apple Fitness+ unveiled her as its next Artist Spotlight for “Swifties” to gear up to workout to the beats of their favorite singer, including the songs from her upcoming album.
Get ready to sweat, Swifties. In our next Artist Spotlight, you will be able to work out to the tunes of @taylorswift, including tracks from her monumental new album Midnights. It’s time to #CloseYourRings and pre-add #TSMidnights on @applemusic now.
Integrated with Apple Music, the Fitness+ Artist Spotlight series offers a workout playlist to a single artist every week, so that subscribers can dance, sweat, or do a HIIT workout. In April, the workout service’s Artist Spotlight series featured music from ABBA, BTS, and Queen.
Without sharing the audio from her upcoming album, Apple Fitness+ made the announcement of an interesting collection of photographers of Swift and Fitness+ yoga, Treadmill, and HIIT trainers; Jonelle, Scott, and Anja respectively. Maybe the three workout genres represent Swift’s workout types.
