Today, Apple has sent digital invitations to another special event from Apple Park on October 13, 2020, called “Hi, Speed”, possibly iPhone 12 launch. The event will be streamed live from the company’s HQ at 10:00 a.m. PDT and viewers can watch it on apple.com and the company’s YouTube channel.
It is speculated that the company will launch the new flagship iPhone 12 series at the event. Previously, Apple confirmed that the new smartphone will launch a few weeks after the September launch due to undisclosed reasons. Therefore, the new iPhone was missing from the September 15 Time Files event.
New iPhone 12 Expected at the ‘Hi, Speed’ Event
The invitation has caused much excitement amongst the speculators and iPhone fans over the possible launch of the new flagship series at the event. As the color theme of the invite is mid-night blue and orange, the industry is associating that with the new color options of the smartphone.

As per the reports, it is known that the upcoming iPhone 12 series adopts the iPad Pro 2020 design language and a smaller notch. It will have four models in three sizes:
- 5.4-inch- iPhone 12 mini
- 6.1-inch- iPhone 12
- 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro
- 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max
Apple has equipped all the models with the A14 Bionic chip and 5G connectivity support. However, the two base models will support sub-6Hz and high-end models will support mmWave 5G technology. Like the current iPad Pro, the new smartphone will have a new camera system with LiDAR scanner for AR support.
Like the Apple Watch Series 6, it is rumored that the Cupertino tech giant will not ship the new iPhone with an adapter in the box. The decision is taken to reduce electronic waste as the company has set to go carbon neutral by 2030.
The rings around the logo might be a hint at the new AirTags, Apple’s electronic trackers to locate important items like keys, handbags, and others. Leaker, Jon Prosser shared an image of the alleged AirTag with a similar circular design, last month.
