Apple’s next big event is scheduled for September 9, 2024, and it promises to be a major showcase of the tech giant’s latest innovations.
The event, themed “It’s Glowtime,” will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino, and will begin at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. As with previous events, it will feature in-person and live-streamed components, allowing fans and the press to witness the announcements.
The iPhone 16 lineup is expected to be the star of the show. This year’s models will reportedly include the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Notable upgrades include larger displays on the Pro models—6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max—and a new Capture Button designed to enhance the photography experience, particularly in landscape mode. Another anticipated feature is the Action Button, previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models, which will now be available across the entire iPhone 16 lineup. TheiPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to be powered by the new A18 chip and offered in sleek new colors, including Black Titanium, Natural Titanium, White Titanium, and Bronze Titanium.
In addition to the iPhone 16 lineup, Apple is likely to unveil the Apple Watch Series 10, which could feature larger 45mm and 49mm displays, improved performance, and new health sensors. The tech giant is also expected to announce the Apple Watch Ultra 3, however, the latest model will likely be focused on internal tweaks. In addition to this, there are rumors about two new versions of AirPods, which could introduce features like noise cancellation to more affordable models.
Beyond hardware, Apple will likely announce the release dates for its next round of software updates, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. A significant focus of the event could also be on Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI suite that will integrate more deeply with its devices, offering features such as advanced photo editing, an emoji generator, and predictive text enhancements.
