Apple Launches Free iPhone 4 Case Program via app

A week ago in the press conference for the iPhone 4, Apple promised that they would give their iPhone 4 buyers free bumpers and those who already have bumpers would get a full refund. Apple has started to fulfill their promise by first giving a refund to the iPhone 4 bumper buyers. And today, Apple has launched an iPhone 4 Case Program on their site http://www.apple.com/iphone/case-program/. To apply for your free iPhone 4 case, you have to download an app from the given link first and then apply for a case via this app.

1. Download the iPhone 4 Case Program app from the App Store.
2. Launch the app on your iPhone 4 and sign in using your iTunes Store account or Apple ID.
3. Select your Bumper or case.
For iPhone 4 purchases made before July 23, 2010, you must apply no later than August 22, 2010; otherwise, you must apply within 30 days of your iPhone 4 purchase. To qualify for this program, you must purchase your iPhone 4 by September 30, 2010.

Those who’ve already bought iPhone 4 cases from Apple’s online store via their credit cards have gotten their refunds. For those who bought it with cash, check or gift cards at retail stores will have to visit Apple stores with their receipt for getting the refund. If somebody wants more than a refund, than here’s a tip shared by a 9to5mac reader.

I just wanted to throw in this little tip to say that I purchased an iPhone 4 July 23rd 2010 and I got an email yesterday saying we will automatically give you your money back by Apple, but then I downloaded the app today and it let me get another free case.
