In iOS 15, Apple Maps got major upgrades like interactive global maps, 3-D maps in select cities to show three-dimensional details, enhanced navigation, and more. However, its 3-D maps were launched in select cities with the promise that the feature will be available in Philadelphia, San Diego, and Washington, D.C. later in 2021.
Now, the iOS and iPadOS Feature Availability’s support page enlists that the 3-D maps feature is available in Philadelphia, along with Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and London. To commemorate Veteran’s Day, Apple Maps expanded the 3-D maps feature in Washington D.C. for users worldwide to explore landmarks and memorials like the World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, or Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Senior Design Lead at Apple, @Justin Danks confirmed the expansion of 3-D maps in Philadelphia which includes detailed locations of One Liberty Place, Fisher Fine Arts Library, the 30th Street Station, Philadelphia City Hall, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and other landmarks.
Recently, the new Apple Maps immersive features were released in Australia like faster and accurate navigation, 3-D landmarks, comprehensive views of roads, parks, buildings, and more. The 3-D maps will release in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver next year.
This year, Apple also introduced the ability to report traffic incidents, speed checks, and various road-related hazards/incidents along their route while getting directions on Apple Maps in iOS 14.5. The reported incidents update in real-time which is helpful for other users to know the situation and decide their route.
