Apple Maps adds stunning 3D Paris landmarks for the 2024 Olympics

This update includes custom, hand-built 3D landmarks of all permanent Olympic venues, such as the Parc de Princes and the Centre Aquatique Olympique. Alongside the Maps updates, Apple is spotlighting Olympic events like gymnastics and swimming in the App Store. They recommend downloading the official Paris 2024 Olympics app to follow the games. Apple is also highlighting sports-themed mobile games and health and fitness apps to keep fans engaged.

For full coverage of Olympic events, users can turn to the Peacock and NBC Sports apps, available for download from the App Store. These apps will offer daily Olympic recaps for U.S. fans, featuring customized playlists of highlights from the previous day’s events. Additionally, there is a dedicated NBC Olympics Hub in the Apple TV app for quick access to NBC’s coverage.

Apple Podcasts celebrates the games with shows like “Two Guys, Five Rings,” “My New Favorite Olympian,” and “The Podium,” offering a variety of perspectives on the events. The 2024 Summer Olympics will officially begin with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 26, at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time or 7:30 p.m. Paris time.
