MacRumors claims to have obtained an internal memo which reveals that Apple is preparing for another product launch before the year ends. However, details of which product to expect are not mentioned.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic hardships, the Cupertino tech giant hosted four virtual events this year: WWDC 2020 in June, ‘Time Flies’ in September, ‘Hi-Speed’ in October, and ‘One more thing’ in November. Collectively this year alone, the company gave us a new iPad Pro, iPhone SE, Apple Watch Series 6 and SE, HomePod mini, iPhone 12 line-up, M1 MacBook Pro, M1 MacBook Air, and M1 Mac mini.
Apple to launch another product, reveals an internal memo
MacRumors states that the internal document, shared by the publisher’s reliable source, instructs the company’s service providers to prepare for changes in AppleCare scheduled to be introduced on Tuesday, December 8 at approximately 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time. Without listing precise details, the memo advised technicians “to prepare for new product SKUs, new/updated product descriptions, and new/updated product pricing, according to the memo.”
Last month, anonymous leaker @L0vetodream had hinted at another December launch calling it “winter exclusive.” Since then, it was speculated that the company might introduce rumored products that didn’t make the cut in previous events like AirTags, AirPods Studio or a new Apple TV.

The company has geared up for the Holidays with a variety of promotional deals and releases. Recently, the iPhone maker has extended its holiday return policy, Apple Music free trial period to 5 months for new Shazam users, released two holiday gift guides, holiday gift cards and will soon release Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. It seems like the Cupertino tech giant has something more in store for us as the year ends.
Based on the memo’s date, it is likely that the new product will be launch via a press release and will have AppleCare+ coverage. We will intently keep an eye on Apple Newsroom for the announcement on coming Tuesday.
