Recently, Microsoft announced the integration of the Photos app for Windows 11 with iCloud Photos, so that iPhone users can easily view, organize and share photos and videos directly from the Windows PC and OneDrive.
Furthermore, the tech company also shared that official Apple Music and Apple TV apps will be coming to Windows 11 soon.
Windows 11 to add Apple Music and Apple TV apps in 2023
As part of its effort to “remove barriers” and make connectivity across platforms and devices more seamless, Microsoft is going to add Apple Music and Apple TV apps on Windows 11 in 2023, so iPhone users can even access the entertainment they love more easily on Windows PC.
We’re also happy to announce that Apple Music and the Apple TV app will launch on Windows next year. Previews of these apps will be available in the Microsoft Store later this year. We can’t wait for you to be able to listen to your favorite music, playlists and more from Apple Music, and watch your favorite Apple TV+ series and movies, right on your Windows PC.
Currently, the Apple TV app is available on Xbox consoles. And with new integrations, the company hopes that Windows will become useful for more users who will be able to enjoy “great experiences” across every device they use.
It must be kept in mind that Windows 11 is still not natively supported on Apple Silicon Macs and runs on the latest Macs through virtualization software like Parallels and VMware Fusion. In June, Apple unveiled M2 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, and the company is expected to launch 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips this month.
