Apple announces ‘One more thing’ event on Nov 10 – First Apple Silicon Macs expected

Apple has sent invitations for another online event from Apple Park on November 10 “One more thing”. The new first-generation Apple Silicon Mac is expected to launch in the upcoming event. Apple had announced the transition of the new Mac lineup from Intel Core to Apple Silicon at the WWDC 2020 event.

Developers and people from around the world can watch the event live on apple.com and on the company’s YouTube channel at 10:00 a.m. PST.  Despite COVID-19 social and economic setbacks, this is Cupertino tech giant’s third event this year and as the title suggests, possibly the last one.

First-gen Apple Silicon Mac to debut on November 10 Event

At the announcement, CEO of Apple, Tim Cook gave a two years transition period with the first generation Apple Silicon Mac arriving later in 2020. Neil Cybart pointed out that the release AR logo of the upcoming event opens and closes like a MacBook, therefore, Apple will definitely launch a Apple Silicon Mac model on November 10.

Previously, tech analysts, publishers, and supply chain sources have heavily reported on the expected time frame of the event and the first Mac model to ship with Apple Silicon. Bloomberg and leaker Jon Prosser predicted a November event for the launch of Mac and other products. Mark Gurman wrote,

“The company is also preparing to announce its first Apple-branded over-ear headphones and a smaller version of the HomePod speaker as early as this month. The first Mac laptop with Apple’s own processor, among other products, will emerge at another launch in November.”

As per Ming-Chi Kuo, a 13-inch MacBook will be the first Apple Silicon Mac model, and The China Times claims that it will be powered by an A14x chip and will give 15 to 20 hours of battery life.

It is also possible that the company will also launch the rumored over-the-ears AirPods Studio and AirTags at the event. In the earning report of Q4 and fiscal year 2020 ending in September, sales of Mac and services hit new all-time high records and the company recorded $64.7 billion in revenue of which Mac sales accounted for 28,622 million. As claimed by the company, the new Apple Silicon Mac will be a faster and more power-efficient machine, one a unified architecture, it will deliver new and innovative features to enhance users’ experience.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO said,
