For older iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices that can not run on the latest software versions, Apple has released new iOS 15.7.5, macOS 11.7.6, and macOS 12.6.5 updates with security improvements and fixes.
The tech company released the latest iOS 16.4.1, iPadOS 16.4.1, and macOS Ventura 13.3.1 updates last week which include fixes for Siri not responding in some cases and skin tone variations not showing for Pushing hand emoji.
The updates also patched two actively exploited vulnerabilities related to IOSurfaceAccelerator and WebKit. The same exploits are fixed in the new iOS 15.7.5, macOS 11.7.6, and macOS 12.6.5 for older devices.

Apple encourages consumers to use its devices for a long time. Therefore, it continues to release software updates for older devices that are not supported by the latest OS like iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 to maintain their security for protecting users’ data and privacy.
Users with iPhone, iPad, and Mac models running on iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 11, and macOS 12 must update their devices to the latest iOS 15.7.5, macOS 11.7.6, and macOS 12.6.5 versions which patch zero-day exploits related to IOSurfaceAccelerator and WebKit.
- An IOSurfaceAccelerator vulnerability could give access to an app to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.
- A WebKit vulnerability could allow malicious web content to execute code.
Apple recently seeded second beta updates of iOS 16.5, iPadOS 16.5, macOS 13.4, and watchOS 9.5.
