The latest news on Apple’s new products claims that the company has asked suppliers to prepare 75 million units of the new flagship iPhone 12 series. Sources familiar with the upcoming products have told Bloomberg that consumers should expect the release of two new Apple Watch models, an iPad Air, and over the ear headphones with the launch of the new 5G iPhone series by the end of this year.
In July, Apple’s CFO, Luca Maestri confirmed that the new smartphone series will release a few weeks after the September launch time of the previous year. Although he did not mention the reasons behind the delay, the industry reports claim that the COVID-19 pandemic has disturbed that supply chain and production operations due to imposed social distancing, and lockdown orders.
Apple is Ready to Ship 75 Million Units
As per the report, the iPhone maker has told the suppliers to aim for at least 75 million units and estimates that the demand may go up to 80 million units in 2020 as well. Sources who wish to stay anonymous told Bloomberg that,
“Suppliers to the Silicon Valley giant rose on Tuesday. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and LG Display Co. closed 2% up, lens supplier Largan Precision Co. climbed 4.1% and headphones assembler Goertek Inc. gained 2.1%.”
Over the past two years, Apple has set similar production goals ahead of the release of the new iPhone launch. In 2019 and 2018, suppliers were asked to prepare 75 to 80 million units. Other reports indicate that the company’s major suppliers has anticipated the number and were prepared for achieving the target. Major iPhone manufacturers, Foxconn and Wistron bought assembling units in India and also began hiring labor in bulk as soon as the COVID-19 restrictions eased.

The next-generation Apple Watch 6 will be packed with amazing new technology, especially for health tracking and monitoring like Pulse oximetry for blood oxygen level, sleep tracking sensors, fingerprint Touch ID, and more.
iPad Air
The next-generation iPad Air will be powered by the same iPhone 12, A14 Bionic chip. It will have an 11-inch Retina display and is expected to retail for $499. Over-Ears Headphone
Currently, without a name, the alleged over-ear headphones will be the first audio device by Apple outside the Beats brand. Reputable Apple leaker @JonProsser reported that the company’s own first over the ears headphones will be Beats 700 and retail for $350. However, he was not correct about the release date.

This is not the first time a source has mentioned the same products coming this year. Previously, @L0todream anonymous Twitter account shared a list of new Apple products consumers should expect by the end of 2020.
Against the odds and tech analysts’ predictions, Apple has emerged stronger in 2020. With a slight dip earlier this year, the Cupertino tech giant has grown to be the first American company to achieve $2 trillion market value, with double digits growth in Q3 this fiscal year, even in the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic. CEO, Tim Cook accredits the company’s global success to innovative and revolutionary products like the 2020 iPhone SE and he vows to continue delivering even better products and services.
