Apple announced the transition from Intel Core processor to own Apple Silicon for Mac at the WWDC 2020 event and the launch of the Apple Silicon Mac might be just a month away. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that the Cupertino tech giant will host another online event in November to launch the first-generation Apple Silicon Mac.
This year’s third Apple event will be held on October 13, at 10:00 a.m. PDT from Apple Park. As per industry speculation, the ‘Hi, Speed’ virtual event will unveil the new flagship iPhone 12 series and HomePod mini. Previously, the company introduced the new Apple Watch Series 6 and the new mid-range Apple Watch Series SE on September 15 ‘Time Flies’ event. The new iOS 14, iPad 14, tvOS 14, and watchOS 7 were released publically as well. However, the tech giant is not stopping there and has more products for users in 2020.
Apple Silicon Mac will Launch in November
While giving details of the expected iPhone 12 series at the upcoming event, renowned Apple leaker, Mark Gurman wrote,
“The company is also preparing to announce its first Apple-branded over-ear headphones and a smaller version of the HomePod speaker as early as this month. The first Mac laptop with Apple’s own processor, among other products, will emerge at another launch in November.”
This report corroborates another report by another credible Apple Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo who reported that the 13-inch MacBook Pro will be the first ARM product to be launch in the later of 2020. Apple announced that as part of a 2 years transition, the first generation of Apple Silicon Mac will launch this year.
Apple Silicon is the company’s custom-designed system-on-chip that will replace existing Intel Core processors in the Mac line-up for a unified architecture similar to the iPhone and will be equipped with new features, security enhancements, performance improvements, and boot and recovery features.
