Apple is now offering an exclusive one-on-one booking for customers to shop safely at its retail stores. The Apple Store app has a ‘shop with specialist’ appointment option which allows users to schedule a 15 minutes appointment with an expert to help them quickly buy a desired product.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, large public gatherings are discouraged as a precautionary measure to contain transmission of the pathogen. Therefore, Apple stores re-opened with a number limit of people at a time in the outlet. However, this practice resulted in long queues of people waiting for their turn outside the stores.
Thus, the aforementioned appointment with a specialist will save customers time by scheduling a visit, quickly getting the help they need in making a purchase, and most important it will help in avoiding long waiting queues.
Schedule ‘shop with specialist’ appointment
- Open the App Store app and tap on search tab at the bottom on the screen to find an Apple retail outlet in your vicinity.
- In the Store details interface, tap on ‘Reserve now’ to initiate the booking procedure.
- Select the product from the list in the next window.
- Then select a date and time of your visit to the store.
- Lastly, fill in your name and email address for confirmation and tap on Reserve Now to finalize the appointment.
Keep in mind that customers can only select one product from the list to schedule an appointment for and every appointment is only 15 minutes long to avoid a cluster of people in waiting or gathered at the outlet.
Apple Store App
Consumers who do not have time to visit a store for purchases can easily buy their desired products via the app from their iPhones and iPads. In the current health crisis, it is a more suitable way to shop because Apple offers contactless delivery for purchases made online or via the app.
However, sometimes it is necessary to visit a store so consumers make an informed purchase and need assistance from a person who knows the products best. During COVID-19 pandemic, scheduling an appointment might prove to be a safe a convenient way to shop.
In March, Apple closed all retail stores in United States and worldwide to flatten COVID-19 transmission curve and re-opening the outlets was a gradual process around the world. Since then, Apple has been carrying the physical retail business with all precautionary measures like social distancing and wearing a mask.
Apple Store app can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS, iPadOS and watchOS.
