Apple leaker, ShrimpApplePro claims that the tech giant plans to launch the Apple TV app on Android. Previously, the leaker had accurately reported the new design of the iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic Island and the smartphone’s box.
Apple TV app offers users all of their favorite TV in one app including Apple TV+, Paramount+, SHOWTIME, Noggin, Starz, and others. Users can also buy or rent movies, subscribe to premium channels, watch their favorite sports teams, and much more.
It is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac, and third-party devices like Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Roku devices, and more smart TVs and streaming devices. Currently, the service is not available on Android, iOS’ rival platform.
Apple TV app for Android would offer easier access to Apple TV+ content
According to the leaker, the company is testing an Android version of its Apple TV app internally which is expected to release soon. Although, the leaker did not provide its precise launch date or timeframe, confirmed that the Apple Music app for Android was going to be updated.
With Apple TV native app, Android users will be able to access Apple TV+ content more easily which is only available via the web link, tv.apple.com.
Recently, Apple updated the UI of the TV app and announced the premiere of the MLS Season Pass on the app on February 1, 2023.
