Apple TV+ original children’s and animation titles win four Daytime Emmy Awards

The winners of the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the children’s and animation categories, hosted by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), were announced on Saturday, July 17, 2021. And Apple TV+ three original titles won four awards.

Last month, it was reported that Apple TV+ programs have bagged 25 nominations for Daytime Emmy Awards in various categories, and Children’s animated series ‘Stillwater’, and ‘Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth’ animated program won three awards. This brings Apple TV+ total to 121 wins and 408 awards nominations, since its launch in November 2019.

Apple TV+ bags three Daytime Emmy Awards in Children’s and animated categories

Variety published the list of winners of the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the children’s and animation categories and the following Apple Tv+ titles won.

  • ‘Stillwater’ won the OUTSTANDING PRESCHOOL CHILDREN’S ANIMATED SERIES
  • “Stillwater”: Jill Calhoun, Editor; Jack Paulson, Editor  won the OUTSTANDING EDITING FOR A PRESCHOOL ANIMATED PROGRAM
  • “Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth” won OUTSTANDING SPECIAL CLASS DAYTIME ANIMATED PROGRAM.
  • “Here We Are: Notes For Living on Planet Earth”: Anne Moth, 3D Animator won OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT IN ANIMATION.

Adapted from the best-selling children’s book by Oliver Jeffers and narrated by Meryl Streep, Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth is available now on Apple TV+ On the eve of Earth Day, a precocious seven-year-old learns about the wonders of the planet from his parents—and a mysterious exhibit at the aptly titled Museum of Everything.

Based on the best-selling children’s book by Oliver Jeffers. The all-star voice cast includes Chris O’Dowd, Ruth Negga, Jacob Tremblay, and Meryl Streep.

Apple TV+ has also earned 35 Emmy Award nominations for Ted Lasso, Servant, Central Park  Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry, Mythic Quest, Boys State and other shows. The winners will be announced on September 19, 2021, at a televised ceremony.
