Apple TV gets tvOS 14.3 update with Fitness+ and TV+ app update

Apple has released tvOS 14.3 for Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K models. The update brings support for Apple Fitness+ subscription to the device.

The update also features a dedicated Apple TV+ tab which makes it easier to access content. Apple has also made this change to its TV app in iOS 14.3, iPadOS 14.3, and macOS 11.1, which were also released today. Lastly, the update also gains support for Apple One subscriptions via Settings on Apple TV.

Here are the release notes from Apple for tvOS 14.3 software update:

  • Apple TV app: Easily discover and watch all your favorite Apple Originals in a new, dedicated Apple TV+ tab.
  • Apple Fitness+: Stay active with a new fitness experience on the big screen—powered by Apple Watch. Fitness+ provides unlimited access to studio-style workouts from world-class trainers, with new workouts added weekly.
  • Apple One: Get Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and more in one simple plan. To sign up, go to Subscriptions in Settings on your Apple devices.

To update your Apple TV, simply go to Settings > System > Software Update and click on Update Software.

Apple Fitness+ was also released today to glowing reviews. The subscription service features workout videos from professional trainers, and show your metrics from Apple Watch as you exercise. Make sure to update your Apple Watch to watchOS 7.2 if you intend to subscribe to Fitness+.

Apple had released tvOS 14 with a bunch of new features including multiuser support for gaming, HomeKit camera support, Audio Sharing, AirPlay 2, picture-in-picture video playback, 4K YouTube, and much more. There were also a number of new screen savers, included in the update, as well as support for Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 and Xbox Adaptive Controllers. With tvOS 14.2, Apple also added support for Dolby Atmos audio, surround sound and stereo output with HomePod and Apple TV via a new feature called Home Theater.
