Apple TV+ will globally premiere its new kids and family series “Jane” on Friday, April 14, 2023. “Jane” is a live-action and CGI blended series from Emmy Award winner J.J. Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment, and the Jane Goodall Institute.
The new series is executive produced by Christin Simms, Blair Powers, Matt Bishop, and the Jane Goodall Institute’s Andria Teather, along with J.J. Johnson. It is the second project of Sinking Ship Entertainment for Apple TV+ after the Emmy Award-winning show, Ghostwriter.

Inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall, the upcoming 10-episode mission-driven series will take young viewers on remarkable adventures around the world to save the environment and animals with a group of enthusiastic and imaginative explores including a 9-years old Jane played by Ava Louise Murchison, her best friend David played by Mason Blomberg, and her chimpanzee, Greybeard.
Jane Garcia, a 9-year-old budding environmentalist on a quest to save endangered animals. Using her powerful imagination, Jane takes her best friends David, and Greybeard the chimpanzee on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world because, according to her idol Dr. Jane Goodall: “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, can they be saved.”
The ensemble of the series’ cast also features Almeida, Dan Abramovici, Jazz Allen, and Sam Marra. Excited about the series, Dr. Jane Goodall said:
