Today, the new Korean sci-fi drama series “Dr. Brain” will debut on Apple TV+, worldwide. Based on a popular Korean webtoon of the same name by Hongjacga, the new series is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kim Jee-Woon who is known for movies like ‘I saw the devil’ and ‘A tale of two sisters’.
Written by KIM Jin A, KOH YoungJae, and KIM Jee-woon, “Dr. Brain” is produced by Bound Entertainment, Kakao Entertainment, StudioPlex, and Dark Circle Pictures. In addition to Jee-woon, the series is executive produced by Samuel Yeunju Ha and Jamie Yuan Lai for Bound Entertainment, HAM Jung Yeub and Daniel Han for StudioPlex, Joy Jinsoo Lee, and Min Young Hong for Kakao Entertainment and Antonio H.W. Lee.

The first episode of “Dr.Brain” season 1 will launch on November 4 and a new episode will be released weekly. The SAG Award-winner actor Lee Sun Kyun from the movie Parasite plays Dr.Brain, an obsessive scientist who develops new technologies to access the brain’s consciousness and memories after losing his family in an accident. Desperate to know the truth, he taps into his dead wife’s brain to piece together the event which led to his family’s death.
Dr. Brain” follows a brilliant brain scientist Sewon who suffers a horrific personal tragedy when his family falls victim to a mysterious accident. Desperate to uncover what happened, he goes to extraordinary lengths to solve the tragic mystery by conducting “brain syncs” with the dead to access their memories for clues. – Apple TV+
