Apple TV+ has just released the official trailer for “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special” which is set to debut on the streaming platform on December 4.
The special is centered around the story of how Carey saves Christmas when the North Pole is faced with a “holiday cheer crisis”. Not only is the Cupertino tech giant releasing a holiday-themed musical-special for the upcoming season, but it is also going to debut an exclusive song featuring Carey, Ariana Grande, and Jennifer Hudson on Apple Music. Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special was announced by Apple back in August.

“The queen of Christmas takes us on a magical journey to save Christmas after a tough year. With friends like Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Misty Copeland, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Billy Eichner, Tiffany Haddish, and Mykal-Michelle Harris, this is a performance only Mariah could put on and is sure to raise Christmas spirits.”
“Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special” streams December 4 on Apple TV Plus. A companion soundtrack will also be released on Apple Music on the same day. The soundtrack, “Oh Santa!,” will feature Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. Carey will also appear on the Apple Music Hits station for a six-hour Holiday Hits special on December 25.

In addition to all the content Apple is planning to release, Carey will also be interviewed by Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 about her new music and memoir “The Meaning of Mariah Carey”, as well as her favorite holiday tracks on December 7.
