Apple TV+ has ordered its first Russian language series “Container”. Variety reports that the new show will premiere on the video streaming service in spring 2022 which is on-air in Russia and CIS on START since September 2021.
The upcoming series is produced by streaming service START, Eduard Iloyan, Vitaly Shlyappo, Alexey Trotsyuk, Denis Zhalinsky, and Mikhail Tkachenko. It is directed by Maksim Sveshnikov (“257 Reasons to Live”). The screenplay is written by Alexey Lyapichev (“257 Reasons to Live”).
“Container” starring Oksana Akinshina will air on Apple TV+ in spring 2022
The thriller series ‘Container’ stars Oksana Akinshina (“The Bourne Supremacy”), Marusya Fomina (“Gold Diggers”), Filipp Yankovskiy (“The Three Musketeers”), and Artem Bystrov (“Earthquake”). Akinshina plays the role of a surrogate mother for a rich family. The report describes that;

As Apple TV+ is expanding its originals catalog, it is adding content in foreign languages to cater to a global audience. Currently, the service offers “Tehran” an Israeli action-drama series, and “Dr.Brain” a Korean sci-fi drama series.
Recently, Apple TV+ announced a joint venture to invest $330 million per year in french content with Netflix, Amazon, and Disney+ to comply with local requirements of the EU law. Netflix will invest up to $225 million, while the other three services will account for the remaining $105 million.
