Apple TV+ has announced that the upcoming “Physical” season 2 will premiere on June 8, 2022, with the first episode of the 10-episodes long season 2 followed by one new episode every Friday. The Critics Choice Award winner Murray Bartlett joins the cast in season 2 who plays the role of Vincent “Vinnie” Green, a charismatic fitness instructor.
The dark comedy series is created, written and executive produced by Annie Weisman, who is also its showrunner. It is directed by Stephanie Laing and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partnership). And it is also executive produced by Laing, Marty Adelstein, Alexandra Cunningham, Sera Gamble, John McNamara, Becky Clements for Tomorrow Studios, and Rose Byrne, who serves as the lead of the show.
Physical season 2 unravels Sheila’s personal and professional struggles in setting up a fitness video business on Apple TV+
Season 2 will showcase the struggles of Sheila Rubin (played by Rose Byrne) as she navigates through professional obstacles as the owner of fitness videos business and personal challenge to stay loyal to her husband while being attracted to someone new. Rubin is joined by a new charismatic fitness instructor Vincent “Vinnie” Green (played by Murray Bartlett) who is a weight-loss guru and pioneer of late-night infomercials.
Season two finds our hero Sheila Rubin (Byrne) having successfully launched her first fitness video only to encounter some new and bigger obstacles on her path. She is torn between loyalty to her husband (Rory Scovel) and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else. And since she’s no longer the only game in town, she finds herself having to outrun some fierce new competitors on the road to building a full-fledged fitness empire.
