Apple’s streaming service, Apple TV+ bagged five Creative Arts Emmys for its original content including Schmigadoon!, Severance, and more.
The Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards honor the best in artistic and technical achievement in American prime-time television programming, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Apple wins big at 74th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards
Apple TV+ received a total of 34 nominations for its original content across a bunch of different categories ranging from choreography, voiceover work, casting, and more. Out of the 34 nominations, it bagged five awards.
The hit office thriller “Severance,” won Outstanding Main Title Design as well as Outstanding Music Composition for a Series. The win for outstanding music composition can be credited to Theodore Shaprio’s, “The We We Are.”
Apple’s popular musical comedy “Schmigadoon!,” won a Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “Corn Puddin'” by Cinco Paul. The track was up against some serious competition including some tracks from the HBO series Euphoria.
The mystery series “Home Before Dark” won Outstanding Motion Design. The last award for Apple TV+ went to “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” for Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series. The comedy series was up against “Late Night with Seth Meyers: CORRECTIONS”, “The Randy Rainbow Show”, and more.
Thirteen Apple TV+ original productions have also been nominated for the Primetime Emmy Awards across 52 categories. The award ceremony is set to take place on September 12.
The titles include Ted Lasso, Severance, Schmigadoon, The Morning Show, The Problem with Jon Stewart, Foundation, Pachinko, See, Lisey’s Story, Central Park, They Call Me Magic, Carpool Karaoke: The Series, and an ad titled “Everyone but Jon Hamm”.
