Apple TV+ has renewed its AFI Award-winning comedy series “Schmigadoon!” for season two. Paul co-created “Schmigadoon!” with Ken Daurio and serves as its showrunner and executive producer. He also wrote all the original songs for the series and has composed new original musical numbers for the series’ upcoming season 2.
The series is directed by Robert Luketic and is executive produced by Luketic, Lorne Michaels, and Andrew Singer, Micah Frank. Hailed from Broadway Video and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, “Schmigadoon!” is produced by Caroline Maroney and Cecily Strong, who also stars in the series.

Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page will join the returning ensemble of “Schmigadoon!” for season 2 including Keegan-Michael Key, Cecily Strong, Ariana DeBose, Jaime Camil, Alan Cumming, and others.
In the new season, the cast will showcase the magic of the true love found by Josh (played by Key) and Melissa (played by Strong) in Schmigadoon in the musical world of 60′ and 70′ known for renditions of pop, rock, and roll.
Having found true love in the town of Schmigadoon, season two of “Schmigadoon!” will find Josh (Key) and Melissa (Strong) in Schmicago, the world of ’60s and ’70s musicals.
Available on Apple TV+, “Schmigadoon!” season 1 is a parody of 1940s musicals narrating the story of a couple who get trapped in the magical town of Schmigadoon which is filled with singing and dancing townspeople. The couple learned that they could not leave before finding true love which they didn’t know they didn’t have.
