Apple TV+ has announced the renewal of its hit drama series “Swagger” for season 2. The popular series is inspired by the life and career of NBA superstar Kevin Durant in the world of youth basketball.
The series is created and directed by Reggie Rock Bythewood, who also serves as its showrunner. “Swagger” is executive produced by Bythewood, Durant, Rich Kleiman, and Brian Grazer. Season 1 of the series that premiered on Ocotober 29, 2021, swayed the audience with its powerful cast and heartfelt story that depicts the emotional, physical, and political challenges a player, his family, and coaches go through as they “walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, opportunism and corruption.”

The star-studded cast ensemble includes Isaiah Hill who plays the role of Jace Carlson, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Quvenzhané Wallis, Shinelle Azoroh, Tessa Ferrer, Caleel Harris, Solomon Irama, James Bingham, Ozie Nzeribe, and Tristan Mack Wilds.
In the announcement, Bythewood said that he is excited to share “more of the beautifully complicated lives of these incredible characters and in season 2, the characters will discover what it truly means to be a champion in life and on the court while overcoming the challenges of basketball playing.
“Swagger” explores the world of elite youth basketball clubs, the players, their families and coaches, and “the game within the game.” Off the court, the show reveals what it’s like to grow up in America. Stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., Isaiah Hill, Shinelle Azoroh, Academy Award nominee Quvenzhané Wallis, Caleel Harris, Tristan Mack Wilds, Tessa Ferrer, James Bingham, Solomon Irama, Ozie Nzeribe and Jason Rivera are all set to return and reprise their roles for the second season.
The 10-episode season 1 of “Swagger” is available on Apple TV+ for $4.99 per month across Apple devices and on the web.
