The famous joy-ride show is back, Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” season 5 which will finally premiere on May 27, worldwide. The new season will launch with the fun, exciting and musical car rides with all-new Hollywood and social media celebrities like Simu Liu and Jessica Henwick, “The White Lotus” costars Murray Bartlett, the D’Amelio family, and others. Additional episodes will release in late 2022.
In 2016, Apple Music won the rights to “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” which is an offshoot of the CBS’ “The Late Late Show With James Corden” segment, created and produced by James Corden and Ben Winston. All four seasons of the show have won an Emmy, along with a Critics Choice Award and multiple Producers Guild Awards.
The “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” is back with new stars to enjoy music in season 5 debuting on Apple TV+ later this month
In 2021, it was reported that Apple Music’s award-winning show “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” was renewed for season 5 but would air from its new home, Apple TV+. However, the production of the series was paused because of the resurgence of COVID-19 cases and the imposition of mandatory health measures.
Now, thanks to worldwide vaccination drives, the series is shot and will release on Apple TV+ later this month. Season 5 of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” will launch with seven new episodes including:
- Simu Liu and Jessica Henwick
- “The White Lotus” co-stars Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario, and Sydney Sweeney
- Anitta and Saweetie
- Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott, who first met on “Carpool Karaoke”
- Stars of All Elite Wrestling
- The D’Amelio family
