Apple TV+ original shows “Severance” and “Ted Lasso” have earned top Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards for 2022. “Severance” won the Best Drama, and “Ted Lasso” won Best Comedy Series awards, along with five other Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards.
In July, the video streamer announced that it had bagged 53 Hollywood Critics Association Awards nominations. In addition to nominations for Central Park, Prehistoric Planet, The Afterparty, and The Morning Show, Apple TV+ Emmy-award winning comedy series “Ted Lasso” and the new sci-fi thriller series “Severance” earned 12 nominations each.

Since season 1, Ted Lasso has won several awards including Emmy Awards, Hollywood Critics Awards, Critics Choice Awards, SAG Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and others.
Debuted in February 2022, it is the first win for Severance directed by renowned actor Ben Stiller, who also won an HCA TV award for Best Directing in Streaming Series. Previously, the lead actor Adam Scott won a Webby award for his performance in the show. The series has been renewed for season 2.
The Hollywood Critics Association Awards follow a string of accolades for Apple Original Films, documentaries and series earning 260 wins and 1,125 award nominations and counting, including this year’s Oscar Best Picture winner “CODA.” Apple TV+ landed a record 52 Primetime Emmy Award nominations in 2022, including 20 nominations for global phenomenon “Ted Lasso” and 14 nominations for hit series “Severance” in its Emmy Award debut.
