Apple TV+ ‘Ted Lasso’, Quest, Servant, and other original shows are nominated for 15 selections for the first Hollywood Critics Association Streaming Television Awards. The award-winning comedy series ‘Ted Lasso’ leads the nominations with 8 selections.
Ted Lasso has won Writer Guild of America Awards for Best Comedy and New Series, and three Critics Choice Awards for Best Comedy category, Best Actor in a Comedy Series, and Best supporting actress in a comedy series. The series lead and producer Jason Sudeikis won Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series in the Musical or Comedy category and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. Season 2 of the series will premiere on July 23, 2021.

Recently, Apple landed 25 Daytime Emmy Award nominations in children’s and Animation and Lifestyle categories. The winners of these categories will be announced virtually on July 17 and 18 by the National Academy of Television Arts and Science Apple. With these additional accolades, the video streaming’s original films, documentaries, and series have had 117 wins and 423 awards nominations in 18 months of launch.
