Ahead of the season one finale of “The Afterparty”, Apple TV+ has announced its early season two renewal. The hit murder-mystery comedy series is created and directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, Academy Award, BAFTA, and Golden Globe Award winners.
Miller is also the showrunner and executive producer of the show, along with Lord. The series is produced by Lord Miller’s SVP of Television Aubrey Lee, TriStar TV, and Sony Pictures Television. Anthony King is also the executive producer of the show.
The mystery-solving skills of detective Danner will continue season 2 of “The Afterparty” on Apple TV+
Season 1 is available on Apple TV+ and set to premiere on Friday, March 4, the finale episode is centered around an unexpected witness who will come for Detective Danner’s aid to uncover the mystery behind Xavier’s demise. And the entertainment of solving murder mysteries will continue in season 2 of “The Afterparty“.
Created and directed by Miller, “The Afterparty” is a genre-defying series centered on a murder mystery at a high school reunion. Each episode explores a different character’s account of the fateful evening in question, all through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller’s perspective. The first season stars comedy greats Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Ben Schwartz, Ike Barinholtz, Ilana Glazer, Jamie Demetriou and Dave Franco.
In 2022, Apple TV+ will premiere the second seasons of its popular shows like “Dear”, and “Tehran”, along with new titles like Suspicion, Lincoln’s Dilemma, Severance, The last days of Ptolemy Grey, WeCrashed, Pachinko, Slow Horses, Roar, They Call Me Magic, Shinning Girls, and Now and Then.
Other renewed Apple TV+ originals included “The Morning Show” season 3, “Truth Be Told” season 3, and “Physical” season 2.
