Apple TV+ has revealed the trailer for “Surfside Girls”, its new kids and family series premiering on August 19, 2022. The upcoming live-action series is based on the bestselling IDW graphic novel series “Surfside Girls” by Kim Dwinell and developed by May Chan, Alex Diaz, and Julie Sagalowsky.

Starring Miya Cech and Yaya Gosselin, the series is set in a California beach town and follows the friendship and adventures of two teenage girls, Sam and Jade. The trailer for Surfside Girls unveils how the girls become best friends and find an unexpected companion from another realm, their ghost friend played by Spencer Hermes-Rebello.
Surfside Girls is a live-action series that follows best friends Sam and Jade as they solve supernatural mysteries in their sleepy California beach town. These best friends must combine their polar opposite strengths of imagination and logic in order to solve the supernatural mysteries that hide just beneath the surface of their town.
The series is directed and executive produced by America Young and produced by Endeavor Content and IDW Entertainment. Chan has co-developed, written and executive produced the series, along with Alex Diaz and Sagalowsky Diaz. It is also executive produced by Paul Stupin, Lydia Antonini, Paul Davidson, and Jeff Brustrom.
In addition to Surfside girls, Apple TV+ will premiere other titles in August like the final season of the drama series “See“, “Five Days at Memorial“, and “Bad Sisters“.
