Apple TV+ kids slate was recognized at the BAFTA Children & Young People Awards, 2022. Titles like “El Deafo”, “Walkwakers” and others won awards for their inclusive and innovative content.
The BAFTA Children & Young People Awards awards are a celebration of the incredible breadth and creativity of UK and international programming for children and young people spanning film, games and television as well as the next generation of changemakers and innovators through the Content for Change category.

- “El Deafo” for Content for Change
Written and executive produced by Cece Bell, the show is a motivational animated series on the life of a young girl, Cece, who can not hear but manages to face all her challenges with help of her alter ego, El Deafo.
- “Wolfwalkers” for Best Feature Film
Wolfwaker is a story of a unique friendship between a hunter Robyn on the quest to wipe out the last out pack and a free-spirited Mebh from a mysterious wolf tribe.
- “Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth” for Best performer Chris O’Dowd
Based on the New York Times Bestselling Book and TIME Best Book of the Year by Oliver Jeffers, this is a short animated film that debuted in celebration of Earth Day. The movie follows a 7-year-old who travels to various places around the globe and learns about the wonders of plants from his parents.
- “Lovely Little Farm” for Best pre-School Live Action program
The live-action animated hybrid series follows two sisters, Jill and Jacky as they live on the farm with their beloved animals, a life full of adventure, challenges, and excitement.
These honors mark Apple’s first BAFTA Children & Young People Award wins and are the latest in a string of accolades for Apple Original films, documentaries and series earning 288 wins and 1,244 award nominations and counting, including multi-Emmy Award-winning comedy “Ted Lasso” and this year’s Oscar Best Picture winner “CODA.”
