Today, Apple has launched the next generation of smartwatch, Apple Watch Series 6. For the first time, the new series comes in vibrant colors like red, blue, with new bands options, it has a new health sensor to track and monitor blood oxygen level, watch faces, and much more.
The Apple Watch Series 6 is a new smartwatch inside and out which is designed to bring health benefits, workout experience, and Family Setup features for safe communication. It is available in 40mm and 44mm case sizes, with always-on Retina display, GPS, and GPS + Cellular models.

New Colors and Bands
The smartwatch series is the most vibrant of all; the new color options in the aluminum casing are blue, Apple’s iconic red, gold, and grey-black. Apple has released new interchangeable bands the solo loops. There are two types of new stretchable bands: the plain and braided bands, which are made from liquid silicon are durable and swim-proof.
The plain solo loops are available in 7 colors: red, yellow, black, white, blue, mid-night green and orange.
The braided solo loops are made with 100% recycled yarn and are available in 5 colors: red, pink, black, mid-night green and blue.
Apple has also introduced a new leather link band with no clasp or buckle. The band simply overlaps at the ends to close.

The Nike bands are also updated with new colors.
Blood Oxygen
A new health sensor, pulse oximetry allows users to measure their blood oxygen level in 15 seconds, anywhere, and anytime. Paired with a supporting Blood Oxygen app, the sensor enables periodic background measurements of the user’s blood oxygen level while he/she sleeps, and helps in the detection of respiratory-related conditions like asthma.
The company was inspired to expand the health benefits offered by the smart wrist band. Thus, it added the technology to measure breathing and oxygen saturation in the users’ body.
New Apple Silicon
The Apple Watch Series 6 is powered by the new custom Apple Silicon, S6. The processing chip has made the new smartwatch 20 percent faster than its predecessor, and more energy-efficient. S6 is the optimized version of the iPhone 11 chip designed to bring changes like 2 times brighter display in the sun, to show the change in elevation in real-time, and more.

Family Setup
The new Family Setup is exclusively designed for younger and older members of the family. The cellular models of the Apple Watch Series 6 allow adults of the family-like parents or grown-up children to know the whereabouts and activities of their loved one with an iPhone.The safe and communication features help in selecting the contact their vulnerable family members can send and receive messages from, know their exact location via notifications, health activity, allow the users to make Memoji faces, offers a new school time mode to enable do not disturb like features to reduce distractions, a custom watch face to indicate that its time to learn. This feature is available on Apple Watch Series 4 and later models.
