Apple Watch Series 7 will be available for pre-order on Friday, October 8
Though Apple announced Series 7 alongside iPhone 13 at its virtual September 14 “California Streaming” event, the tech giant did not reveal a street date for the device simply saying it will be available “late this fall.” Prior to Apple announcing the device’s launch, an Hermès customer service employee informed a customer that the new Apple Watch will be available for pre-order starting October 8, 2021. This was further corroborated by Apple leaker Jon Prosser.
Apple Watch Series 7 features a larger and brighter display, five new aluminum colors, faster charging, user interface updates, and more. The display in Apple Watch Series 7 is the smartwatch’s biggest upgrade. It now features 20% more screen real estate than Apple Watch Series 6 and ships in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm. The Watch is also IP6X certified for dusty environments, while it continues to feature water resistance for swimming, rated at WR50. Series 7 sports the same CPU as Apple Watch Series 6.
The Watch is also available in five new aluminum colors which include midnight, starlight, green, and a new blue and (PRODUCT)RED. Stainless steel options are available in silver, graphite, and gold stainless steel alongside “Apple Watch Edition” in titanium and black titanium. The Watch starts from $399.
Apple has already released its new lineup of 41mm and 45mm sizes bands for Series 7 ahead of its official launch. In addition to the updated vibrant color options across the Classic, Attelage, and Jumping styles, Apple Watch Nike and Apple Watch Hermès have also launched new exclusive bands for the lineup.
