The Cupertino tech giant is expected to unveil the next-generation iPhone 15 series, Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra, and other devices in September.
Just a few days ahead of its announcement, an Apple leaker with a good track record claims that the upcoming Apple Watch Series 9 will feature a new pink color option in addition to the current color options in aluminum and stainless steel finishes.
Pink color option set to make a comeback since 2016 in Apple Watch Series 9
Reporting on the upcoming Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra (second-generation), ShrimpApplePro said that Series 9 will be available in a new pink color option in an aluminum finish, a compact box maybe for environmental reasons, and the same design language as Series 8.
He also said that Apple Watch Ultra (second-generation) will come in a new all-black titanium option along with the current silver titanium option.
If Apple does release a pink model in Apple Watch Series 9, it will not be the first time. The first-generation Apple Watch (2015), Apple Watch Series 1 (2016), and Apple Watch Series 2 (2016) were available in the Rose Gold color option which was shiny, pastel pink.
However, the tech giant removed the color from Apple Watch Series 3 till Series 5 (including Apple Watch SE models) and only offered gold, silver, or space gray in aluminum and silver, or space black in stainless steel. From Apple Watch Series 6 onwards, the company added Blue and (PRODUCT) Red.
Furthermore, Apple launched iPhone 13 in Pink in 2021 and it is also rumored to release a hot pink color option for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro this year. Thus, it is likely that the tech giant might revive the pink color option in its smartwatch lineup.
The leaker also expects the new iPad mini 7 to debut next month which might feature an advanced processor and thinner bezels.
