At a time when customers Apple Watch Ultra pre-orders are facing delays, an AT&T customer received his watch ahead of the launch on September 23.
Although we have most of the information about the design and features of the new 49mm model through reviews and first-look videos, details shared by the customer @playalisticadillac on Reddit provide additional bits of information about the watch’s box, appearance with different bands, and more.
Aesthetically Apple Watch Ultra looks pleasing with its own bands
As per the pictures shared by @playalisticadillac, the first difference that stands out is the packaging. Unlike the elongated boxes of the Apple Watch Series 8 or older, the Apple Watch Ultra has a rectangular box with the casing and the documentation side by side. The paper wrap comes with a mountain range print to represent the rugged use of the watch.
In comparison to the display of a 45mm Apple Watch model, the larger and flat display of the Ultra looks better. The protruding side button and digital crown are very noticeable. Having said that, he said that the 49mm size does not look too big on a small wrist like on the banana.
Coming to the watch bands, @playalisticadillac said after some time one “falls in love” with the orange watch band. Like Apple said the new Ultra is compatible with watch bands for other larger Apple Watch models but as seen in the picture, they don’t look pleasing.
Redditor attached the Milanese Loop band with the Ultra which looked odd because the larger size of the casing did not sit well with the narrow band. However, the broader and chunkier Apple Watch Ultra bands pair nicely with other larger Apple Watch models, (44mm and 45mm).
