According to a recent report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has an exciting lineup of products planned for the second half of 2023 and the first half of 2024. Among the anticipated releases are three new Apple Watch models, including two variants of the Apple Watch Series 9 and a second-generation Apple Watch Ultra.
Updated Apple Watch Ultra will feature S9 chip and same design as current model
In the latest edition of his “Power On,” newsletter for Bloomberg, Gurman reveals that Apple’s fall product launch will feature the introduction of two Apple Watch Series 9 models, codenamed N207 and N208. These successors to the popular Series 8 are expected to bring advancements in design and functionality. Additionally, Apple enthusiasts can look forward to an updated version of the Apple Watch Ultra, designed for professional athletes and trainers.
Although Gurman didn’t provide explicit information about the upcoming watches’ features, it is speculated that Apple will maintain the current design for the Apple Watch Ultra, as it is still relatively new. However, the Series 9 models may offer improved sensors and additional fitness and health tracking capabilities. Apple may also incorporate a faster S9 chip, possibly based on the A15 Bionic chip, to enhance performance and battery life.
The Apple Watch Ultra, known for its larger display compared to the Series 8, offers a unique customizable Action Button. This feature allows users to personalize its functionality to suit their individual needs. Interestingly, rumors suggest that the Action Button may also make its way to the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models, effectively replacing the Mute Switch.
In addition to the Apple Watch lineup, Gurman’s report mentions several other notable Apple products on the horizon. These include an M3-equipped 13-inch MacBook Pro, upgraded MacBook Pro models with M3 Pro and M3 Max variants in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, and new MacBook Air models. The report also hints at the arrival of revamped iPad Pro models with OLED displays, a new iPad Air with an upgraded M2 chip, and an improved Apple TV.
In conclusion, consumers can expect improved features, enhanced fitness and health tracking capabilities, and a possible performance boost in Apple’s upcoming watches.
