NBA x Better Powerbeats Pro announced by Beats today
The NBA x Better Powerbeats Pro were announced by Beats today. The design is meant to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the NBA which is being celebrated through the 2021-2022 season.
“The latest collaboration between Beats and the NBA brings a mix of nostalgia and everlasting quality with Canadian-based brand and retailer Better Gift Shop to create a special edition set of Powerbeats Pro,” Beats wrote of the special edition headphones.
Apart from the exclusive design, the NBA x Better Powerbeats Pro provide the same features as the regular models: 9 hours of battery life, with the charging case providing enough recharges for 24 hours of battery charge. They also feature the same H1 chip that AirPods and AirPods Pro have, which allows fast pairing and instant switching between Apple devices. The headphones are also sweat and water-resistant and feature on-ear playback and volume controls, making them the perfect companion for workouts.
The new Powerbeats Pro design will be available from the Beats website on February 19 at 9 a.m. Pacific (12 p.m. Eastern). The colorway of the special edition headphones is officially called “NBA75 Ivory.” While the standard Powerbeats Pro can regularly be found on sale for under $200, the limited edition design will retail for $249.
Apple’s Beats brand and the NBA signed a multi-year deal back in 2018 making Beats the official headphone partner for the National Basketball Association.
The headphones seem like a fun way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the NBA for fans. However, keeping in mind the Powerbeats Pro are three years old, the newer Beats Studio Buds or Beats Fit Pro may be worth considering if you are looking to purchase wireless headphones.
