Apple Podcasts announces the best shows and creators of 2021

As the end of 2021 is coming closer, Apple is announcing the best artists, and creators on its platforms. The tech giant has announced Apple Podcasts Best of 2021 to recognize the exceptional content, ability to engage the audience, innovative craftsmanship, production, sound design, and more of the best and most popular podcasts. “This year, Apple Podcasts Best of 2021 features shows and creators that provided listeners with a powerful sense of connection in a challenging and uncertain time, curated by Apple Podcasts’ world-class editorial team.”

The company has also announced Apple Music Awards 2021 winners who were chosen by Apple Music’s editorial perspective and subscribers most listened to songs. The Weeknd won the Global Artist of the Year, Olivia Rodrigo won the Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, along with other regional artists.

Apple Podcasts Best of 2021: Show and Newcomer of the year

Apple Podcasts honored “A Slight Change of Plans” with Maya Shankar from Pushkin Industries as the Best Show of the Year for its unique and captivating storytelling which blends compassion with the science of human behavior to empower listeners to navigate their own big change. 

“Anything for Selena” with Maria Garcia from WBUR and Futuro Studios is recognized as the Newcomer of the Year which asks thought-provoking questions about belonging, inspired by the Latin singer Selena.  In addition, Apple Podcasts has also announced the shows of the year and episodes of the year.
